mandr8ke This record was a sweet find during my senior year at university. Didn't realize that I'd fall in love with his son's music (Sam Sparro) as well years later. Great to find this album again! Favorite track: Cool Water.

Cool Water 07:00
Cool Water Chris Falson © 1992 Leather Chair Songs It’s been such a long time And you so far away But I remember every word you said Yes I treasured them 'till this day Cool water, cool water Cool water over me I’ve been walking some rocky roads For many days And I need some inspiration And a little lovin' would not go astray Cool water… What can I do, what can I say To bring you back to me Where can I go for those sad eyes

One Day 04:15
One Day Chris Falson © 1992 Chris Falson Leather Chair Songs There’s a star in the sky Don’t know why but he’s watching me And he shines through the night Throwing light into my room If the moon weren’t shy He’d catch my eye And take it to his face There’s a trace of a tear It’s for you One Day without you Is like a hundred years In a cold and weary land One day without you Only a fool would stay away I awake early morn Where the sun is born to the day Take a walk along the sand Try to understand Oh the picture has so many Little missing pieces But a blind man could see I need you One day… I thought by now that you’d have Called it a day But the sun keeps shining And the world keeps turning I can’t believe it but I’ve drifted away And you keep calling my name

Good People 04:53
Good People Chris Falson © 1992 Chris Falson Leather Chair Songs Good people stay through stormy weather That beats the house Built on rock and lasts forever Good people love through adversity Though they are hurt They forgive their enemy For they have learned the secret Hidden from the wise They have learned the secret Of love Good people give to the needy and the poor No matter the cost Someone gave them so much more Good people fight for the souls of man Not flesh and blood So only some will understand

Jamming with the Angels Chris Falson © 1992 Chris Falson Leather Chair Songs I hear angels Jamming on my roof top They take this house of mine Into heaven Oh they’re having a good time Watching over me They take this heart of mine Into heaven It’s another world Oh up on the rooftop It’s another world Jamming with the angels Teach me a new song I need a song from the future I’ll sing it to the world A song from heaven No more bringing in the sheaves Those days are gone You got to get a little rhythm To sing in heaven It’s another world… Angels sing darkness fades away Peace on earth, how do I feel? I’ve got to jam the night away Sing me a new song I need a song from the future I’ll sing it to the world A song from heaven No more rock of ages cleft for me Those days are gone You got to get a little rhythm To sing in heaven

Wake Up 03:08
Wake Up Chris Falson © 1992 Chris Falson Leather Chair Songs Day after day I’m at the watchtower And what I see brings sleepless nights Whoever tells you Babylon has fallen Don’t believe a word they say Wake up, wake up Wake up, wake up All you people Wake up, come on wake up There are giants in the land Wake up oh sleeper It’s time for wailing You’ve left your post for last time Turn on your TV and watch it as it happens The invasion of our land Wake up….

Who Do You Love Chris Falson © 1992 Chris Falson Leather Chair Songs It’s on everybody’s lips, everybody’s mind It’s in all the daily papers and the news at night A day without it mentioned you’ll never find Some say money makes your world go round If you work real hard night and day Learn to sow some seed and put some away You’ll have something for that rainy day Some say money makes your world go round But tell me, who do you love? Who do you love? Who do you love? Who do you love? Tell me, who do you love? It puts food on the table and it pays the rent And sometimes you know it must be heaven sent But with or without, rich or poor Can you tell me who you’re working for Buy a 747 or a TV station You need a lotta cash to take this nation Yeah money ain't that bad But don’t let me hear you say Money makes your world go round

Ease the Pain Chris Falson © 1992 Chris Falson Leather Chair Songs I’m looking for a man who can dig a little deeper Walk in one direction and not look back He won’t mind getting his hands a little dirty He’ll do anything he can to Ease the pain I won’t be searching through the yellow pages I won’t be ringing universities In the middle of the day while the sun is hot I’ll be looking in the field for the man who can Ease the pain I’m looking for a man who can see the big picture And follow it through till the credits roll I want his heart but I’ll give him my name And keep a place for the man who can Ease the pain There has to be one man Who’ll hear me cry and do all he can He won’t care what the papers say I tell you he will suffer… but he will Ease the pain

I AM Waiting 05:35
I am Waiting © 1992 Chris Falson Leather Chair Songs I’m in a dry and weary land Where the desert song has died Like a river with no water My soul it thirsts for you I am waiting I am waiting I am waiting For you Every mountain looks so inviting Until the day I have to climb But climb I will up where the eagles fly If I could only touch the sky I am waiting… I hear the footsteps Of a thousand marching angels (men) Go off to war I hear them call my name To follow them to war But I’m not moving Till the rains come down Thunder and lightening shoot across the sky Angels heralding your arrival I hear the earth move in anticipation Can you feel my heart a tremble?

Can You Go The Distance? © 1992 Chris Falson Leather Chair Songs Show me a man without a dream There’s a man with no future Do you think I’m crazy following my dream? Man it’s got a hold on me Can you go the distance Make it across that line Or are you growing weary Of all the people watching you Can you go the distance Make it to the end And write your name in glory Can you dream that dream night and day Can you reach out and touch it I can feel it breathing deep within my soul It’s living inside of me Can you go the distance… Ooh I’m looking for a somewhere Some people call it heaven But somehow I get this feeling This is the place The place where dreams come true Sometimes this dream weighs too much I wish it would fade away But what would I be without that dream Just a man with no future Can you go the distance…

Premier Magazine UK: “Chris Falson’s debut album on Broken records features tasty, blues influenced guitar licks, songs that speak to the heart and mind, and memorable vocals.”

This was Chris’ first solo album as a singer/songwriter. It was produced by Robert Vaughn (Island Records) and engineered by Keith Walker (Crowded House, Midnight Oil). Recorded in Sydney and Mixed in LA the album was released by Broken Records in 1992. The track Good People was released as a single and received steady rotation on radio stations around the US.
